Premiere Pro

When using Premiere Pro templates, you might want to add more placeholders to fit more images or use the same title more than once. You may have even tried to copy or duplicate an element in the project only to discover that the duplicate and original are linked! To use the same title again or add more placeholders, you will need to take the following steps.

With your current project open, go to file-> import and select the .pproj file for the template you want to duplicate:

Then select the .pproj file for the template:

Make sure you have the following options enabled:

And then you will have a new final render sequence or final title sequences in the imported folder. This will allow you to drag them into your current working sequence.

Final Cut Pro

If you want to add extra placeholders in Final Cut Pro, you can simply drag & drop a new instance of a generator in, and cut up the placeholders that you don’t want. Please note that any transitions will need to be cut out in order to do this.

To enable cutting of a Generator without it automatically resizing duration, please follow these instructions. Please note that you should have all of your media placed into the placeholders and all customizations done before proceeding with the following:

1. Right click on the Generator in the timeline and create New Compound Clip
