‘Public performance’ means your film is shown on TV, in festivals or theaters as well as in other public-facing forums. In most cases, this doesn’t apply to Internet platforms like YouTube or Facebook.
If your film is shown in a ‘public performance’ space, the broadcaster/venue might need to make sure it has the relevant agreements in place to cover any royalties for airing your project. Most broadcasters have a blanket license specifically for this purpose.
We don’t charge any additional fees here at Artlist, so please contact the broadcaster or venue directly for more information about their policies and agreements.
