What’s new: Longer clips. Generate and edit videos up to 15 seconds long, up from 10 seconds.
Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash is the latest version of Google’s Omni video model, generating clips with native audio from text, images and video.
Like 1.1, it is first and foremost a video editor, and it excels at video-to-video work, but it also generates from scratch and from references.
The main jump over 1.1 is length: generations and edits now run up to 15 seconds.

Limitations
- Edit source videos must be 15 seconds or shorter
- Clip extension adds at most 10 seconds per pass
- Audio references are not supported
Prompting Tips
- Start with 5-second generations at 360p or 720p to nail the style, then increase duration and resolution
- Label reference assets explicitly in the prompt: @Image1, @Video1 or "in the first image.."
- For edits, state both what to change and what to preserve
- For 15-second clips, describe the sequence beat by beat (what happens first, next and last) so the extra time isn’t filled with drift
- When using start & end frame, keep the two frames close in framing and lighting; large jumps produce unstable motion
