Image Model
Flux 3 Klein is the small, fast member of Black Forest Labs’ FLUX 3 family, covering text-to-image and editing in one model.
It trades some quality and prompt adherence for speed and a much lower price, which makes it good for drafts, volume work and quick edits.
For final, text-heavy or high-detail images, Flux 3 Image is still the stronger choice; Klein is the budget option next to it.

Limitations
- Lower detail and weaker prompt adherence than Flux 3 Image, most visible on text, hands and busy scenes.
- In edits the aspect ratio does not follow the reference image. Pick the ratio that matches the source.
- 4K is slower than 1K and 2K. Iterate at a lower tier, then upscale the keeper.
Prompting Tips
- Describe framing, subject, background and lighting in full sentences. Klein is trained on detailed captions.
- For edits, name only the change and refer to references by order (“the fox from image 1”).
