Image Model (Vector)
Picsart Vectorizer turns an existing image into an editable SVG. It does not generate anything new: you upload a raster image and get back a scalable vector version of it.
It is built for logos, icons and flat illustrations, where it traces clean shapes and keeps flat color regions separate. On that kind of input it is fast, a few seconds per image.
Use it when you already have the artwork. To create a vector from a prompt, use Ideogram Vector 1.0 or the Recraft vector models instead.
Key Features
Image to Vector
- Vectorize: Upload one image and get the same artwork back as a scalable SVG.
- Edge tracing: Follows outlines and keeps flat color areas as separate shapes, so the file is easy to edit in a design tool.

Credit Cost
Credits are charged per generation.
| Model | Credits per generation |
|---|---|
| Picsart Vectorizer | 80 |
Picsart Vectorizer isn’t included in any Unlimited plan, so every generation uses credits. Credit costs can change; check the model in the Toolkit for the current price.
Limitations
- Photos are slow and can fail. Detailed photographic input takes about a minute and can time out; the result looks like a flat poster, not a photo.
- No creative control. You can’t steer colors, level of detail or style; the output is a direct trace of the input.
- Large, intricate artwork loses fine detail because the input is scaled down to 1024 px before tracing.
- The prompt box still asks for text before Generate works, even though the text is not used.
Prompting Tips
- Start from clean artwork: flat colors, sharp edges and a plain or transparent background trace best.
- Crop to the subject before uploading; everything in the frame becomes vector shapes.
- Fewer colors in the source give a simpler, smaller SVG that is easier to edit.
- Type any word in the prompt box (for example “vectorize”) to enable Generate.
