The Artlist AI Tools Photoshop Plugin brings AI image generation directly into Adobe Photoshop — so you can generate images and bring them into your canvas without ever leaving the app.
What you can do with the plugin
- Generate images from a prompt, right inside Photoshop
- Place generated images onto your active document
- Browse My Library — view and use your existing Artlist AI Tools creations from inside the panel
- Browse Sessions — access your existing Artlist AI Tools folders (shown as sessions in the plugin) without leaving Photoshop
- Keep track of your credits — see your credit balance and upgrade your plan directly from the panel
System requirements
- Adobe Photoshop 24.1 or later
- Mac or Windows
- An active Artlist account
Installing the plugin
- Download the Artlist AI Tools plugin installer from the Artlist Plugins page.
- Run the installer — it detects which Adobe apps you have installed and installs the plugin for each supported app.
- Open Photoshop. The Artlist AI Tools panel will appear under Plugins > Artlist AI Tools.
The plugin is distributed independently and does not require installation through the Adobe Exchange Marketplace. Updates are delivered automatically through the plugin itself.
Signing in
- In the Artlist panel inside Photoshop, click Sign in.
- A sign-in page will open in your default browser.
- Log in with your Artlist account — including Google or Facebook if you use social login.
- Once signed in, return to Photoshop. The panel will refresh and show your creations.
Note: Sign-in happens in your system browser rather than inside the panel. This keeps your existing social login and SSO working exactly as it does on the web.
Generating images
Once signed in, use the prompt bar in the panel exactly as you would on the Artlist AI Tools website. Select your model, enter a prompt, and generate — your creations are saved to My Library and available immediately for use in your document.
Placing images on your canvas
Click the download icon next to a generated asset in the panel to bring it into your Photoshop project.
Note: Drag and drop from the panel directly onto the canvas is not currently supported.
Browsing My Library and Sessions
Switch to the My Library tab to browse all your existing Artlist AI Tools creations, or the Sessions tab to browse your folders from Artlist AI Tools. Click the download icon next to any asset to bring it into your Photoshop project.
Updating the plugin
When an update is available, you'll see a notification inside the panel. Click Update to install the latest version without leaving Photoshop.
