The Artlist AI Toolkit After Effects Plugin brings AI generation directly into Adobe After Effects — so you can generate images, videos, music, and voiceovers without ever leaving your timeline.
What you can do with the plugin
Everything available in the AI Toolkit on the web is available inside After Effects:
- Generate images, videos, music, and voiceovers from a prompt
- Browse My Library — view, search, and use all your existing Toolkit creations from inside the panel
- Keep track of your credits — see your credit balance and upgrade your plan directly from the panel
System requirements
- Adobe After Effects 2026 (v26.0) or later
- Mac or Windows
- An active Artlist account with an AI plan
Installing the plugin
- Download the Artlist AI Toolkit plugin installer from the Artlist Plugins page.
- Run the installer — it detects which Adobe apps you have installed (After Effects, Premiere Pro, or both) and installs the plugin for each.
- Open After Effects. The Artlist AI Toolkit panel will appear under Window > Extensions > Artlist AI Toolkit.
The plugin is distributed independently and does not require installation through the Adobe Exchange Marketplace. Updates are delivered automatically through the plugin itself.
Signing in
- In the Artlist panel inside After Effects, click Sign in.
- A sign-in page will open in your default browser.
- Log in with your Artlist account — including Google or Facebook if you use social login.
- Once signed in, return to After Effects. The panel will refresh and show your Toolkit.
Note: Sign-in happens in your system browser rather than inside the panel. This keeps your existing social login and SSO working exactly as it does on the web.
Generating content
Once signed in, use the prompt bar in the panel exactly as you would on the AI Toolkit website. Select your model, enter a prompt, and generate — your creations are saved to My Library and available immediately for use in your project.
Browsing My Library
Switch to the My Library tab to browse all your existing Toolkit creations. You can search, filter by media type, and select assets to download to your configured folder for use in your composition.
Updating the plugin
When an update is available, you'll see a notification inside the panel. Click Update to install the latest version without leaving After Effects.
