Style Kit lets you save your brand's look and feel once — reference images, a color palette, and guidelines text — and apply it to your AI generations with a single click. No more re-uploading the same references or re-typing the same art direction every time you generate.
Key Features
- Reusable brand context: Save up to 2 reference images, a color palette, and free-text guidelines in one kit.
- One-click apply: Select a kit from the prompt panel before you generate — no manual re-uploading.
- Your references come first: If you add your own reference images to a generation, those take priority. Kit images only fill any remaining reference slots.
- Clean prompts: Your kit's guidelines are applied behind the scenes. Editing or retrying a generation still shows only your original prompt.
- Cross-product: Kits you create in the Artlist Toolkit are available anywhere Style Kit is supported — including Studio and the Artlist MCP.
How to create a Style Kit
- From the AI Toolkit prompt panel, open the Style Kit selector.
- Click Create new kit.
- Upload up to 2 reference images. Note: uploads beyond the 2-image cap will be rejected.
- Set a color palette (optional).
- Add guidelines text describing your brand's tone, style, or direction (optional).
- Save your kit. It's now available to select from the Style Kit selector.
How to apply a Style Kit to a generation
- Open the prompt panel and select a saved kit from the Style Kit selector.
- Write your prompt as usual, and add any of your own reference images if you'd like.
- Click Generate. Your kit's guidelines and images are automatically applied alongside your prompt.
💡 Pro Tip: To stop applying a kit, deselect it in the selector — your next generation will run without any kit context.
Using Style Kit in the Artlist MCP
If you use the Artlist MCP with Claude, your Style Kits are available there too — the same kits you create and manage in the Toolkit, no duplication needed.
To apply a kit, just name it when you ask for a generation. For example: “Generate an image of a cityscape at dusk using my Acme Brand kit.” Your assistant will apply the kit's reference images, color palette, and guidelines automatically.
💡 Pro Tip: Create your kit in the Artlist Toolkit first, then reference it by name in any MCP conversation.
Using Style Kit in Studio
Style Kits also work in Artlist Studio — apply a saved kit to frame, video, and asset (character, location, prop) generations, and edit or manage your kits directly from Studio too. See Style Kits in Studio for details.
Good to know
- One active kit at a time: Only one Style Kit can be applied per generation.
- Image generation supported: Video generation may not support Style Kit yet, depending on the model.
- No kits yet? If you haven't created a kit, the selector will prompt you to create one.
- MCP support: Style Kit is available in the Artlist MCP. Kits are created and managed in the Artlist Toolkit and can be applied to any supported generation via MCP.
