What are AI credits?
AI credits are the currency used to create images and videos on Artlist’s AI Toolkit . Each subscription plan includes a fixed number of credits per month that are shared across image, video, and voiceover generations. Whenever you generate AI content - whether it’s image or video - credits are deducted based on the specific model and settings used.

How AI credits work
Each time you generate AI content, the corresponding credit cost will be automatically deducted from your monthly credit pool. The number of credits required to generate varies by model and output settings.

Commonly asked questions
Can I purchase additional AI credits as a one off?
Currently, you are unable to purchase additional AI credits as a one off. You are able to upgrade to a higher credit package which will change your monthly or yearly plan and, hence this credit allowance will be available each month moving forward after the upgrade.
What happens to my existing credit count when I upgrade to purchase a plan with additional credits?
When you upgrade your AI Suite plan or Max Pro plan to a higher credit tier, your credit balance is updated right away. Here are the key things to know:
- Credits you’ve already used that month aren’t reimbursed. Your usage so far in the month stays the same. The upgrade doesn’t reset or refund credits you’ve already spent.
- The upgrade adds extra credits to reach the new plan total.
- If you move from 40,000 to 240,000, the upgrade adds 20000 credits to your existing 40000 allowance, giving you 240,000 total for that month. The next month you would then renew with 240,000.
- Billing is pro-rated. You don’t pay the full price of the higher plan immediately. Instead, you’re charged a pro-rated amount for the upgrade, based on how much time is left in your billing cycle. You would then be charged the full amount of the plan on your next renewal.
- If you upgrade from AI Suite Starter with 40,000 credits and upgrade to Max Pro, you will upgrade to Max Pro with 40,000 credits as well.
Do unused credits roll over to the next month?
Unused credits do not roll over to the next month. Monthly credits reset at the beginning of each monthly billing cycle.
Can credits be used for all of the AI tools?
Credits can be used for all AI tools.
Note: Credits can only be used to generate AI asset types included in your subscription plan. For example, if you have the AI Starter 7,500 credit plan, your credits can only be used to generate AI voiceover, whereas if you have the AI Starter 16,500 credit plan, credits can be used for AI voiceover, image and video generation. What happens if I use all my monthly credits?
If you use all your monthly credits, you have the option to upgrade your plan to include more credits. It’s not possible to generate additional content unless extra credits are purchased or the subscription is upgraded.
When you upgrade to a higher-credit plan, the new plan will take effect immediately. Your next renewal will still occur on your original renewal date, and it will be charged at the price of the higher-tier plan you chose.
My credits should have been renewed today, but they haven’t been reset yet. What should I do?
Credits are refreshed once per day on a global schedule. Because of this, depending on your time-zone, credits may appear later on the same renewal date shown in your account.
Rest assured, you’ll receive your full credits automatically that day. No action is needed on your end
Can credits be refunded if I am unsatisfied with the generation?
All generations require credits to process, even if the result isn’t downloaded. This is because credits cover the resources needed to create the generation itself. For that reason, credits or subscription plans can’t be refunded for results that don’t meet expectations. We recommend exploring different prompts, settings, or styles to get the best possible outcome from your credits.
